These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and YouTube Guru ("YouTube Guru", "we", "us", or "our") and govern your access to and use of our website, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
- One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.
2. The Service
YouTube Guru provides analytics, SEO scoring, and AI-generated optimization recommendations for YouTube videos and channels. Our insights, scores, revenue estimates, and growth forecasts are provided for informational purposes only, are generated using public data and automated models, and are not guarantees of any outcome, ranking, view count, or revenue. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the Service.
3. Subscriptions & billing
- Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Business) are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record.
- Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You authorize us (via Lemon Squeezy) to charge your payment method each billing period.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. See our Refund Policy.
- Prices may change; we will give you at least 14 days' notice before a price change affects your subscription.
- Plan usage limits (e.g. monthly analyses) reset at the start of each billing month and do not roll over.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or create derivative services from the Service or its outputs without written permission;
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls, or share a single account across multiple people beyond your plan's seats;
- Use the Service to violate YouTube's or Google's terms, infringe intellectual property, or process data you have no right to;
- Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service;
- Use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or harmful purposes.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
5. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties including YouTube/Google APIs, Supabase (authentication), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Anthropic (AI), and others. Your use of those integrations is also subject to their respective terms.
YouTube Guru uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube channel you authorize us to access (read-only) the data you consent to via Google OAuth, and you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Our access, use, storage, and sharing of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by YouTube Guru and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service per these Terms. You retain ownership of the content and data you submit; you grant us a licence to process it solely to provide the Service.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your expectations.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, YouTube Guru and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases; sections that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
